From an Idea in 2013 to Thousands of Memories Today
Every business has a beginning.
For Print Happiness, it began in 2013 with a simple thought:
What if an ordinary gift could become something deeply personal?
Print Happiness was founded in Mangaluru by Pradeep Nair, a Civil Engineer by qualification, with a passion for creativity and a belief that the best gifts are not necessarily the most expensive ones — they are the ones that carry a memory, an emotion or a story.
That simple belief became the foundation of Print Happiness.
THE BEGINNING
When Print Happiness started in 2013, customized gifting was still a relatively unexplored concept.
The idea was simple — take everyday products and transform them using photographs, names, messages and memories into something that belonged uniquely to one person.
A photograph wasn't just something to be printed.
It could become a gift for a birthday.
A memory of a wedding.
A thank-you to a teacher.
A farewell to a colleague.
A celebration of friendship.
Or something a family would preserve for years.
What began as an idea around personalized gifting gradually grew through experimentation, creativity and, most importantly, listening to customers.
BUILT ONE GIFT AT A TIME
There was no fixed formula for building Print Happiness.
Customers would often walk in with nothing more than a photograph and an occasion.
"It's my parents' anniversary."
"My friend's birthday is tomorrow."
"Our teacher is retiring."
"I want to surprise my husband."
"Can you make something special with this photograph?"
Those conversations became an important part of our journey.
Instead of simply selling products, we began helping customers decide what could be created from their memories.
Over the years, one product became many.
Photo gifts evolved into personalized frames, mugs, wood engravings, keychains, caricatures, LED gifts, pillows, bottles, wallets, pens, acrylic products, corporate gifts and many other forms of customized gifting.
But even as the products changed, the basic idea never did.
The product was only the medium. The memory was always the gift.
GROWING WITH TECHNOLOGY
The way personalized gifts are created today is very different from how they were created when we started in 2013.
Printing technology evolved.
Laser engraving opened new possibilities.
Digital artwork changed the way photographs could be transformed.
And more recently, AI-assisted creative tools have allowed us to experiment with entirely new forms of personalization.
Print Happiness continued to evolve with each of these changes.
We have always believed that technology should make creativity more exciting — but it should never take the emotion out of gifting.
Whether we are engraving a photograph onto wood, creating a caricature, printing a photograph onto a mug or developing a completely new customized product, technology is simply the tool that helps us tell someone's story.
MORE THAN A DECADE LATER
What started in 2013 has today grown into a dedicated customized gifting destination at City Center Mall, Mangaluru, serving individuals, families, professionals and businesses.
Over the years, Print Happiness has had the privilege of becoming a tiny part of thousands of occasions.
Birthdays.
Anniversaries.
Weddings.
Friendships.
Farewells.
Graduations.
Teacher's Day.
Raksha Bandhan.
Corporate celebrations.
And sometimes, there doesn't need to be an occasion at all.
We've created gifts between parents and children, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, teachers and students, colleagues, friends and people separated by thousands of kilometres.
Every order is different because every story behind it is different.
And that is probably what has kept this journey exciting even after all these years.

For many years, the Print Happiness experience primarily happened across a counter.
Customers walked into our store, showed us their photographs, discussed ideas with our team and watched those ideas become gifts.
Today, we are taking that experience further.

It is an important new chapter for us.
Our store will always remain a place where customers can walk in and talk to us.
But our website allows the idea that began in Mangaluru in 2013 to travel much further.
